Maybe this is all a dream, maybe it's a lie
Maybe someone made this up to make the time go by
Maybe this is just the way that I'm supposed to feel
And maybe this is real

Maybe I don't understand, maybe I'm the fool
Maybe I'm the only one that didn't pay attention when they changed the rules
Maybe this is all a game, maybe it's a test
Maybe I should save myself and forget about the rest

Maybe this is all a trial, maybe I'm the judge
Maybe I'm the one to say it doesn't mean that much
Maybe there's a crowd out there that needs to be amused
And maybe I'm the accused
